Non-native speakers often pronounce English based on their native sound systems of stress and intonation, which can vary significantly in English.  This frequently leads to miscommunication and can cause frustration for the speaker and listener.

  1. Who can benefit?  Individuals from various professions, such as teachers, students, salespeople, physicians, etc., who want to improve pronunciation and reduce foreign accents.
  2. How do you teach? The delivery format is one-on-one and online which allows for customized lessons and individualized attention.  
  3. What can I expect? Evaluation of current skills, focused lessons on various aspects of English pronunciation, feedback, practice exercises (including homework), and consistent progress tracking.
  4. How much does this cost? Please schedule a Zoom call with me so we can discuss your goals and give you the correct pricing.  
  5. How long does it take to see results?  The results vary depending on your current level of English and commitment.  I've had several clients experience results in a couple of sessions; however, most notice improvement within a few weeks of consistent practice.  
  6. Is it possible to lose my accent completely? Complete accent removal is rare and not the goal for most clients.  The focus is on reducing misunderstandings and improving clarity and fluency.  Our typical clients want to improve the rhythm and flow of speech while retaining their unique voice. 
  7. Can you help with job interview preparation or presentations?  Yes! We offer specialized training for presentations and interviews to help you speak with confidence and authority.
  8. What language or accents do you work with? We specialize in helping languages such as Spanish, Hindi, Mandarin, German, Italian, and many others.

Tracey Ingram-Lee is a dedicated and experienced American Accent Coach with over 15 years of expertise in helping professionals speak clearly and confidently. Holding a B.S. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Bradley University and an M.A. in Audiology from Michigan State University, Tracey has been certified in the Compton P-ESL method, a renowned approach for accent reduction, since 2008.

Her career in accent modification began as the Director of the Institute of Accent Modification in Chicago, where she developed tailored programs and workshops, especially for Native Chinese speakers. She is also the author of 7 Weeks to a Better American Accent for Native Mandarin Speakers, a guide designed to accelerate the learning process for Mandarin-speaking professionals.

Tracey’s passion lies in helping her clients overcome communication challenges, boosting their confidence, and achieving measurable results in their American English pronunciation. "Speaking confidently is achievable, and I'm here to help you make it happen,"
